Class Schedule

Over the twenty weeks, we'll cover a great deal. The ebook has 10 units, but some will take more than one week in class. The weeks in color are essentially mini courses. Weeks in black could be taken as stand alone classes.

Week 2 01/10/25: Poetry. The basics of poetry. Rhyme and rhythm.
Week 3 08/10/25: Poetry. Free verse and abstract ideas.
Week 4 15/10/25: Poetry. Your poems. How to create a short poetry anthology. 
Week 5 22/10/25: Short Stories. An introduction to short story creating. 
Week 6 29/10/25: Short stories. Continuing different forms of short story writing. 
Week 7 5/11/25: Microfiction. Writing briefly. 
Week 8 12/11/25: Creative Nonfiction. How to write about your life. 
Week 9 19/11/25: Creative Nonfiction. Continuing writing nonfiction.
Week 10 26/11/25: The Novel. An introduction to writing novels. Different genres. 
Week 11 03/12/25: The Novel. Characters and scenes. 
Week 12 10/12/25: The novel. Structure.
WINTER HOLIDAY BREAK
Week 13 07/01/26: Hybrid Writing. Putting different forms of writing together.
Week 14 14/01/26: Hybrid Writing. Continuing with combining forms.
 
Week 15 21/01/26: Work for Anthology. How do you choose what work to submit. 
Week 16: 28/01/26: Editing Your Work. How to edit and end up with a final draft. 
Week 17 04/02/26: Creating a Writing Portfolio. 
Week 18 11/02/26: Final Submissions for Anthology. Creating a book.
Week 19 18/02/26: The Writing Business. How to submit your writing to journals etc.
Week 20 25/02/26: Final Review. How to move forward as a writer.
